How Enzymes Work
What are Enzymes?
Enzymes are strings of proteins that catalyze biochemical reactions which are vital for human life. Present in all living cells, Enzymes are specific in what chemical reactions they catalyze. Enzymes are used by cutting-edge biochemists in the war against disease. Enzymes are completely safe – even beneficial – to all living things. In fact, your body produces many enzymes that protect you from germs and viruses.
Enzymes work differently from chemicals because they don’t get depleted and are recyclable. Enzymes can be viewed as billions of small and hard-working factories operating 24 hours a day. Spa Solution® uses 14 different enzymes. Over the years, we have tested thousands of different formulas to find just the right mixture of enzymes that were effective. We employ a set of “master” enzymes which have been effective. The formula is 100% safe for people, plants, animals and our environment.
Our enzymes have some fascinating properties. They operate within a narrow temperature range of 70 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Enzymes usually don’t have enough energy to start a reaction at lower temperatures and as the temperature rises, they function until broken down by heat. Our enzymes continue to operate at temperatures as high as 180 degrees Fahrenheit. The enzymes also have a prolonged shelf life of up to 5 years.
